Some (Plants) Like It Hot

Tennessee summers are hot, humid and often dry.  Meet some plants that thrive when we sizzle.  We’ll look at a variety of annuals and perennials, including trendy herbs and succulents, to keep your garden colorful during the hottest months of the year.  Many of these plants also make for great container plantings too.

“Ready-Set-Garden,” is a series of seven educational presentations exploring a variety of gardening topics to help Williamson County residents learn more about successful gardening in Middle Tennessee.

The talks are presented by members of the Williamson County Master Gardeners Association in conjunction with the Williamson County UT Extension of the Institute of Agriculture and the Tennessee State University Cooperative Extension.  The talks will focus on best horticultural management practices for our area.
