Chocolate Tasting for Beginners: A Deliciously Educational Event! In-Person

Chocolate is more than just a sweet treat. It’s a world of history, culture, and craftsmanship waiting to be discovered. This engaging, beginner-friendly workshop will guide participants through the story of chocolate, from the cacao pod to the finished bar, and introduce them to the art of tasting chocolate with intention. This class is for adults and teens.

About your presenter:

Amanda McCadams is the founder of Panache Candy, a Nashville-based confectionery brand that creates handcrafted sweets with artistry, storytelling, and sustainability in mind. With a background in photography and years spent exploring cultures and cuisines around the world, Amanda brings a creative and global perspective to her candy-making.

At her tasting events, Amanda shares the story of chocolate in a way that is approachable and engaging for beginners. She guides participants through the origins of cacao, the basics of the chocolate-making process, and simple tasting techniques — all while sampling a variety of chocolates, from dark to milk to white. Her goal is to make the experience both educational and delicious, leaving participants with a deeper appreciation for one of the world’s favorite treats.
