Reduce the Scroll: Tackling Challenges with Screen Time and Kids In-Person
Limiting children's screen time is a challenge many parents face. In this program, participants will gain a clear understanding of how screen time affects mood, behavior, and development. You will gain knowledge on how screen use wires kids' brains toward instant gratification. You will also learn a flexible framework and tools to create a screen-wise home environment that promotes better outcomes for children's mental health.
About your presenter: Kate Sjostrom is a licensed clinical social worker with a BSW from Texas State University and a MSW from Arizona State University. She is the founder of Empower Therapy Solutions, which addresses and treats children's anxiety, depression, ADHD, and challenges related to emotional dysregulation. Kate also runs Empower Coaching, which addresses the needs of moms and dads searching for support in raising a child with challenging behaviors.
