Story Writing Workshop In-Person
Whether you want to write short stories or a novel, our Story Writing Workshop can help you achieve your goals. You will understand and apply key elements of storytelling (character, plot, setting, conflict, and theme); develop original ideas and structure them effectively; use dialogue, description, and pacing to enhance your writing; and revise and edit your work with guided feedback. This is a six-session program, but you do not have to commit to all classes. Attend whenever you are able.
- Session 1, Sept. 4: Introduction to Storytelling
- Session 2, Sept. 18: Character and Setting
- Session 3, October 2: Plot and Craft
- Session 4, October 16: Dialogue and Description
- Session 5, October 30: Revision and Feedback
- Session 6, November 13: Sharing
This program is funded by the Friends of the Brentwood Library.
