Beekeeping Club: Preparing Colonies for Fall

Beekeeping Club: Preparing Colonies for Fall In-Person

Preparing Colonies for Fall

Late summer is the time to assess colony strength and plan for winter prep. We’ll cover combining weak hives, monitoring queens, and beginning fall feeding and mite treatment schedules.

Tammy Cherney has been a beekeeper since 2015. She has a background in the nursery industry and a strong foundation in design and landscape design. Her passion and dedication for beekeeping is evident through her extensive education in the field and through her active role as the secretary of the Beekeepers of Middle Tennessee beekeeping club. Tammy is a proud member of the Tennessee Beekeepers Association. As the host of the podcast, The Tea About Bees, Tammy shares her knowledge and insights into the world of beekeeping, helping to educate and inspire others. Beyond her work with bees, she is passionate about pollinators and is an advocate for promoting sustainable and environmentally-friendly gardening practices.
