Navigating the Adult World of Autism In-Person

April is Autism Awareness Month. This presentation, given by Kate Dietzer and Missy Shaw of Social Connections, will provide a broad overview of some of the main issues that adults with autism encounter in the world. We hope to shed light on skills, tools, and strategies that will help autistic adults navigate and function more successfully in a sometimes confusing and challenging world. We welcome adults with autism, their families, and support persons.

Kate Dietzer and Missy Shaw are the co-founders of Social Connections, a practice created to help young adults with developmental disabilities navigate the challenges of the adult world. They are both certified autism specialists. Kate has more than three decades of experience in the fields of mental health and special education. Missy is currently a licensed mental health practitioner in private practice with a focus on trauma.
