Spring into Beekeeping: Preparing for the Honey Flow

Spring into Beekeeping: Preparing for the Honey Flow In-Person

Get your hives ready for a successful season! We'll cover early spring equipment preparation, basic hive inspections, what to look for in your colonies, and tips for supporting your bees during the upcoming season. We will briefly discuss early nectar sources that help determine the beginning of the honey flow, and, as always, we will spend some time answering questions and sharing insights. This class is open to beekeepers and non-beekeepers. Come see what the buzz is about!

Tammy Cherney has been a beekeeper since 2015. She has a background in the nursery industry and a strong foundation in design and landscape design. Her passion and dedication for beekeeping is evident through her extensive education in the field and through her active role as the secretary of the Beekeepers of Middle Tennessee beekeeping club. Tammy is a proud member of the Tennessee Beekeepers Association. As the host of the podcast, The Tea About Bees, Tammy shares her knowledge and insights into the world of beekeeping, helping to educate and inspire others. Beyond her work with bees, she is passionate about pollinators and is an advocate for promoting sustainable and environmentally-friendly gardening practices.
