Girls Who Code

Girls Who Code In-Person

Want to work at a tech company? Get your start with a Girls Who Code Club! Girls Who Code Club is a free program for 6th to 12th grade girls to explore coding in a fun and friendly way. Girls will get to use computer science to impact their community and join a sisterhood or supportive peers and role models.

Computing skills are the most sought-after in the US job market, with demand growing 3X the national average. Computing is where the jobs are — and where they will be in the future — but girls across the US are being left behind. Today, less than a quarter of computing jobs are held by women, and that number is declining.

This club will be led by a team of facilitators - Kersten Fons, Kelly Lee, and Brigid Day. We will provide the space, the computers and the curriculum.

Because this class is only open to such a small number of participants, it is especially important that everyone who registers attends every week. Please do not register unless you are sure that the student can commit to 10 weeks of class.
