Qigong for Health

Qigong for Health In-Person

Qigong is an ancient Chinese exercise modality that helps promote the flow of energy throughout the body inducing relaxation and reducing stress. You will learn a series of slow, gentle, simple exercises that you can then utilize at home to help reduce stress and promote vitality, flexibility, and balance.

Class fee: $5 per session. Registration required. This class is for all ages.

Christy Koster has been loving and studying qigong for about 8 years through the International Institute of Medical Qigong. She earned the title of Practitioner of Medical Qigong in 2008 (200 hour program); the title of Medical Qigong Therapist in 2010 (500 hour program); the title Master of Medical Qigong in 2012 (1000 hour program); and plans to start the Doctorate of Medical Qigong program in 2016 (2000 hour program). She has also earned the title of Level I Qigong instructor through the Rising Lotus Qigong and is currently working on her Level II certification. Christy currently teaches Qigong at Gilda's Club and Alive Hospice as a volunteer and also offers private instruction.
